The production process of straw weaving and willow weaving is basically the same, which is generally divided into seven stages: material selection, coloring, soaking, weaving, fumigation, cool drying, and painting, all of which are handmade.

（1） Material selection. When selecting corn husks, remove the outermost layer of old husks and ensure consistent color with a white color. The selected straw should have a natural color, with thickness and length depending on the needs. It is best for thatch to grow old and mature. Choose willow, with the best one being the one in the hot weather. At this time, the willow is more mature, easy to peel, white in color, with a diameter of approximately 1-5 millimeters and a length of 60 centimeters.

（2） Coloring. According to the design requirements, evenly coat the required colors on the material surface and dry them in the sun.

（3） Soak. Put the colored materials into water. Just wet the corn husk a little, otherwise it will turn yellow after a little longer. Thick willow strips need to be soaked for 20 minutes and thin willow strips need to be soaked for 10 minutes. The purpose of soaking is to make it soft, easy to bend, increase its strength, and facilitate weaving.

（4） Weaving. Follow a certain shape and specification. All tools include: iron skewers, fruit pruners, rulers, etc.

（5） Fumigation. The finished product woven should be wiped with laundry detergent. Its purpose is to clean and to increase humidity. Then, place the finished product in the fumigation chamber and ignite it with sulfur placed in the container for fumigation for 2 hours. During fumigation, the doors and windows of the fumigation chamber must be sealed.

（6） Cool sun exposure. The finished product after fumigation should be promptly dried, fumigated, and dried to prevent mold and deformation.

（7） Painting. After drying, apply clear paint to make it durable, resistant to fading, increase brightness, and aesthetically pleasing.
